GMC|SIERRA is a consortium comprising GMC Utilities Group and Sierra Support Services Group, both of which are Irish owned companies and have been in operation for over 30 years.

On 6th July 2013, Irish Water announced the appointment of GMC|Sierra as one of the regional contractors engaged by Irish Water to manage the Meter Installation Programme. This Programme began in early August 2013

and will see over 1 million meters installed nationwide by end 2016. As one of the chosen regional contractors, GMC|Sierra is responsible for managing the recruitment of suitable staff to meet the programme targets, as well as managing the installation of the meters themselves.
